www.amazon.com/Mutabaruka-First-Poems-Next-Double/dp/9766107130/sr=8-3/qid=1159654638/ref=pd_bbs_3/103-4676925-1363030?ie=UTF8&s=bookscool double book with a lot of poems covering all subjects, one interesting thing is the way he speaks of how men have used the bible to oppress women over the years and also there is alot of race related/black power and repatriation type poems. one interesting piece is "nursery rhyme lament" where he puts the stories taught to children in a modern context where jack and jill can't afford the water and the old women in the shoe had to move to the ghetto because of rent increase, it is even taught sometimes in jamaican highschools as well as "dis poem" i enjoy this book because most poetry comes from the upper class and shies from issues, while muta is a thinker from the working class and ghetto and calls fire on all he sees opprssing people. this is a link to one of my favorites: www.ireggae.com/iamdeman1.htm
