Yesterday I visited the de young museum in San Francisco. I went to see the Chicano Exhibition and it was one of the best I have ever seen. If your in the Bay area you should def. check it out. It's only up for one more week. If your not in the bay check the link www.thinker.org/deyoung/exhibitions/exhibition.asp?exhibitionkey=551Cheech Marin owned most of the art work exhibited. He's a goon! Here is a list of some of the artists: Patssi Valdez John Valdez Carmen Lomas Garza Wayne Alaniz Healy George Yepes Mel Casas Google them and check out the art, it's Fresh to Death.. Hi Sabac, Thank You for adding this thread,
In School Art was my favorite subject of all, I got a good grade in GCSE Art at School and at College. On my final piece in Art GCSE I designed a Mayan Art Sculpture in clay. I found the Chicano Exhibition that you added very useful. I have recently sign up at my local Art Gallery in the City, and I usually get letter's from the Art Gallery on what's going down at the Gallery (e.g Exhibitions, Drawing, Paintings etc.) but I don't get the time to go to the gallery that much. I like how Artist's draw and use color in their drawing, Pictures etc. Every Artist is different in their own way and I respect them all. Drawing or Painting pictures keeps your mind occupied and sometimes gets rid of the frustration.
Thank You
Peace
